EASTHERN & NORTHERN SENEGAL

Day 1: Flight to Dakar : Pick up at the airport and transfer to Saly (40 min) Night in a good hotel

Day 2: Saly - Tambacounda: After breakfast we will take a bus or plane to Tambacounda (400 km). Once we arrive there we will inspect the vehicles and prepare to start the route the next day. Night in a good hotel.

Day 3: Tambacounda - Kedougou. Stage of 325 km. Long but fast stage. It is the typical red earth track, used by the old Rally Paris-Dakar, where we have to be careful with the cracks and villages we will cross. Night in a good hotel.

Day 4: Kedougou - Iwol - Kedougou. Short stage in kilometres but very interesting. Red track until we reach an enduro track that will take us to a primitive Bedick village that can only be reached on foot or through the trail. We will visit this wonderful village. Return to the hotel. In the afternoon we can chill or go for a walk in the picturesque streets of Kedougou. Night in the same hotel.

Day 5: Kedougou - Dindefelo - Kedougou. Stage of 140 km. We will start by riding 20 km on the red track and then we will leave it to start riding on small roads near the mountain until we reach the village of Dindefelo. After a 20 minute walk we will reach a waterfall where we can take a refreshing bath. Lunch and return to Kedougou by small roads. Night in the same hotel.
 
Day 6: Kedougou - Tambacounda : 325 km stage . This stage takes place near the Niokolo koba park. The first part of the stage is near the Gambia river with the possibility of seeing hippos. Then we will drive 100 km of asphalt (unavoidable because of the prohibition to circulate in the park) to cross the park where, if we are lucky, we will be able to see monkeys, warthogs... To finish we will return to a section of red track that will take us to Tambacounda.

Day 7: Tambacunda - Bivouac : 250 km stage. We will find the tracks of the Sahel, villages and tracks  are really low transited, only by farm carts. These tracks will become sandier and we will encounter semi-nomadic villages and baobabs. Night in a bivouac set up by the organization in a beautiful forest of baobabs.

Day 8: Bivouac - Langue de Barbarie. Stage of 260 km. This stage is entirely in Ferlo desert, where we will enjoy navigation and driving on sandy and fun tracks surrounded by acacias and baobabs. Arrival at Langue de Barbarie, at the mouth of the Senegal River. Night in a good hotel on the riverbank and overlooking the sea.

Day 9: Langue de Barbarie - Lac Rose - Saly. Stage of 130 km . At low tide, we will ride 120 km along the beach to the Lac Rose, mythical end of the old Rally Paris-Dakar and now end of the Africa Race. Here we will put end to our route. We will leave the vehicles and a transfer will take us to Saly . Night in a good hotel.

Day 10 : Saly - Airpor.  Last day to chill, do some last shopping or simply walk around. In the afternoon transfer to the airport.
